Peachface Lovebirds
We are no longer raising Lovebirds
Lovebirds are very active little birds with BIG parrot personality. They are very loveable and affectionate but if not raised with nurturing guidence can become  little terrors.  Their activity level is somewhere between a budgie and a Cockatiel.
It is best to only have 1 lovebird to a cage or they will most likely not remain tame to their human. It is a complete myth that you must have lovebirds in pairs. It is possible to maintain tameness with more than one but it takes a lot of daily handling on your part if you choose to keep more than one per cage. They are fun to watch in pairs.
Affectionate and intelligent, Lovebirds can be taught to give kisses, step-up, wave a foot, and many other tricks. As with most hookbills, Lovebirds also have the ability to learn to whistle and talk. They can speak with clarity and will respond to your voice with eager enthusiasm.
Their average life span is 15 + years with proper care.
Lovebirds are available in many different mutations. You can view our available Lovebirds below. Please contact us if you have any questions.
